The following page introduces the measures we have taken to allow as many people as possible to access our pages. We have taken care to comply with all the latest web standards in terms of the way the site is designed and the ease at which you can view and read each page.
In particular we have allowed simple changes in the size of text to assist in the readability of each page. You will find in the top right-hand corner of each page links marked 'Text-' and 'Text+' and clicking these will decrease and increase the text-size respectively.
There are other generic methods for adjusting the text-size as follows:
This website aims to conform to:
Each page on this website is print-friendly, so that only the main content text and our logo is displayed on your print-out and none of the extra content or images.
Most of the site is written in cascading styles with limited use of tables.
All text is assigned a relative font size - this means that you can resize the text if you need.
All images that represent information have been assigned descriptive 'alternative text' and decorative images are either relegated
to the CSS document or have a null ALT attribute.
We aim to make this website accessible to as many as possible. If you experience any kind of problem or have any
feedback about it please e-mail: web@flintsdirect.com.
This website has been thoroughly tested and proven to offer full functionality on most major web browsers in use today.
This website relies on CSS2, which is unsupported by IE 4 and below and Netscape 4 and below.
It can still be accessed on these browsers but with no styling applied to the pages.
The decision to use CSS2 was taken due to the very small number of Internet users browsing with
these older versions (now less than 1%). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
